As a United States military child, I saw diversity at a young age because the world was my oyster. Early on, I felt an immense satisfaction when helping people so I entered the healthcare field at seventeen years old. Now a Registered Nurse, I’ve experienced both sorrow and joy, many times over. Traveling internationally, often alone, fear and excitement became my friends which I welcomed with opened arms. What I’ve learned on this journey of both personal and professional perspective is that happiness looks different for many people. What makes me happy may not be the same thing that makes someone else happy; but nonetheless, we all deserve to find and experience it.
